An ideal mix of youthfulness and experience, I am a warm, talented professional able to provide a contemporary and considered input into your special day.

My philosophy as a Celebrant is to support you as my client in having the ceremony that you would like. I am a:

* Registered independent marriage celebrant

* Registered civil union celebrant

* Justice of the Peace for New Zealand

* Active member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand (CANZ)

* Accredited celebrant, meaning I have been certified as practicing to the highest professional celebrant standards. Although there are over 2000 celebrants in New Zealand, currently only 26 are accredited nationwide.

Additionally, as a published academic I am able to write and craft your ceremony swiftly and thoroughly. My lecturing experience means I am a confident and articulate speaker, while my love of life and of this gorgeous country means I am able to suggest a variety of ceremony locations should you be eloping. I enjoy working in relationships of mutual respect with my clients, and want you to feel good in every step of the process towards your special day. Am happy to provide complete media blackout and confidentiality agreement as required.

With a background in youth work and the experience of losing my own son pre-birth, I am often asked to officiate at funerals for babies, children and young people. These moments are a privilege, as is celebrating the life and acknowledging the death of people at any life-stage.

The majority of my celebrant work involves facilitating weddings and civil unions, and I delight in doing so. The heart loves who the heart loves and now that you have found each other, it is a joy and a privilege to stand with you and celebrate your commitment and happiness. I have performed marriages and civil unions on clifftops, mountains, beaches, islands, roof gardens, in historic homes, exclusive resorts, clubs, private residences, parks, hospitals, chapels, hotels, restaurants, vineyards, zoos and art galleries. Anywhere and anytime you want to celebrate your love works for me!

Ethical and excellent practice underpins all my work, as does the value of relationship. In all aspects of ceremony development and delivery I will work with you to ensure that together we create a beautiful piece of history in your journey as a couple.

In addition I will:

* Meet you at a time and location workable for both of us.

* Provide you with a number of references from recent clients.

* Conduct a free Auckland rehearsal (wedding and civil unions only) with you and your party.

* Ensure your ceremony is delivered to your wishes - no unsolicited surprises!

* Match the colour and style of my attire to the theme of your event.

* Provide you with a 'Memory Folder' on the day which includes a copy of your own personal ceremony in booklet form.

I am also happy to officiate outside Greater Auckland (including the Cook Islands) when expenses are met.
